Very nice and compact lens. Operates very smoothly and takes great photos, even though it is one of the early silver nose models that is only single coated.

Light, fast for it's size, compact, rugged, sharp, low flare into the sun for a single-coated lens. Photos show no distortion that I can tell. Built-in lens hood. Easy to use and one of the best general purpose telephotos.

I use this lens with an Olympus OM2, and an OMD EM-5 with a Metabones adapter. With the digital camera, there is minor purple fringing at f/4, which is barely noticeable at f/5.6, and then completely gone at f/8. It is a very sharp, excellent lens!
