The Jupiter-9 is a copy of the pre-war Zeiss Sonnar 85mm f/2, and perhaps that's the reason why this lens has such an outstanding reputation. Result pretty impressive, not bad from a non-macro lens.Very good performer as portrait and close-up lens too.

Pentacon 100mm f/2.8 pretty rare excellent portrait lens, little brother of very popular Pentacon 135mm f/2.8. Optical quality I guess same, both are excellent lenses. Little soft at wide open, that is makes them to ideal portrait lens. I found this lens has great optical quality and so horror mechanical build. Aperture blades looks somebody make them at home and other parts are also not comparable with quality Japanese makers. |

Very well built full metal construction lens, real competitor of Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135mm f/3.5. Sharp even at wide open, very good performer in all area. Easy to catch right focus, very usable focal length. Can I say more ? No, just a perfect lens one of the best in short telephoto range. If you are lucky you can grab like new copy, quite common lens. |

This lens is a second Takumar in my collection, Takumars are quite rare in Hungary. Much easier to get any Japanese and German lenses than Asahi Pentax lenses in M42 screw. So I am happy to get it, I heard about this lens: great for close-up works, because pretty sharp and focusing distance is quiet short. I found after the test this lens has beautiful bokeh and quite good sharpness. I not recommend for close-up works, just if you don't have money to take better lens for this purpose.

This great lens was standard on Praktica body. Nowadays the latest MC version is getting more and more popular, because it is pretty sharp at one f/stop down and it has nice "bokeh" and very good color rendering.

Tair-3S is supplied with the Zenit foto snaiper camera kit. This specialty kit comes with the lens, camera, and a rifle stock mount with shoulder butt, pistol grip, and shutter release trigger. This version uses a knob under the barrel to focus (when used with the gun stock) and a spring-loaded diaphragm release activated by the trigger. I found this lens is quite interesting so I pickup one and shared my experience.

Quality Nikon lens that for sure, it has nice out focus background and pretty sharp even at wide open.Very well built quality lens after 30-40 years just works as swiss watch. I have an A'id version so no problem on DSLR body at all, everything works perfect. So easy to catch the right focus, very good performer indeed. It has warm color rendering what is very nice I found a bit less contrasty than others like Takumar, CZJ SONNAR etc.Very good choice for general purpose short telephoto lens. |

Tair-11 133mm f/2.8 133 mm ? sound interesting, every maker issue lens in 135mm focal length this lens is different but not just from this point of view. Looks big, heavy and pretty :) and excellent performer. I suppose this lens would be a very good portrait lens.

An old great lens with excellent soft-out focus backgrounding ("bokeh") for very cheap price, this a shame. People not respect this excellent lens. |
